Rare Onda Pitcher
Unusual Sergio Asti for Arnolfo di Cambrio Onda pitcher. Asti studied in Milan in the late 40's, early 50's and designed for Artemide, Kartell, Knoll and Venini among many other important mid century manufacturers. The thick glass is ribbed and has an opalescent quality. The handle, pitcher neck and lid are brass with some corrosion. There are also 2 small chips in the bottom rim. The Arnolfo di Cambrio signature is etched on the bottom. The company was started in Tuscany in 1963 and is still making wonderful pieces of glass as well as contemporary drinkware. The Onda pitcher is an understated but interesting piece. Measures 12" h and 5.5" d.
