Les Fraises Jean Cocteau Raymond Oliver Dishtowel

Fabulous linen dishtowel so worthy of framing for your kitchen. Raymond Oliver, post WWII chef and owner of Le Grand Vefour in France was known for his theatrical style and famous patrons such as Collette, Camus, Rockefeller, Churchill and of course Cocteau. The linen depicts his decadent dessert comprised of strawberries, macaroons, heavy cream, light cream, kirsch, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, whipped cream and crystallized violets. This is fairly large, 28" x 18" and in very good condition with a few very light stains.
